Extended time aloft
When helicopter filming over built-up urban areas/cities or wilderness areas, with 35mm rigs, it is often not possible nor cost efficient to land and reload a film
magazine every twelve minutes.
(Refer On-Film Magazine articles, Atawhenua “Illuminating Shadowland” and “Shooting with HD for global Toyota commercial”) The reduced weight of the
smaller ball and mount assembly on Cinegyro also means a massive, up to one third more time aloft before refueling. Often filming locations are a distance
from an airport or refueling depot.
