Why Use The Cineflex V14 HD System Over Film?

The Cineflex V14 (Cinegyro) HD system recording uncompressed 4:4:4 RGB delivers digital footage which is as close to film quality as possible, without the disadvantages associated with shooting film for aerial sequences.

  • No need to land and reload a film magazine every 15 minutes, Cinegyro can re-load its 50 minute tapes on-board while flying in seconds.
  • Instant on-board field replay of footage.
  • Stability and shot angles not achievable with 35mm aerial rigs.
  • Director can monitor and talk camera opertor through every shot.
  • Cost reductions in filming and post production

Inter-cutting Film and HD aerial footage has become more and more accepted as the benefits and results come clear. Cinegyro has been used on aerial sequences for several feature films in recent months where the HD aerial footage was then graded in post and converted to film.
